Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news outlet and a television host, author, and an philanthropist. She moved out of Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and obtained a MA at Cambridge University in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it before the age of 21. A conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she became a voice of the Huffington Post. The fame she gained allowed her to persuade a number of stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the culture and politics. Arianna first gained notoriety in 2003 as she stood for California's recall election, in the place of Governor Davis. Alongside that, she also spearheaded an initiative in Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient automobiles. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as The most influential female media personality, taking the 12th position in the listing and the following year, the Guardian listed her on the top 100 of media lists. AOL, Inc. appointed her President of their media company in 2011 after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli the other, both of whom are journalists and consultants in management. The way she lived her life was determined by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her father despite her being very close to him. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. At 16 years of age she relocated back to United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation. Additionally, she starred together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editorial assistance.
