Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She founded The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and the owner of the independent free online news publication The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around 16 years old. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. She became a syndicated conservative writer following the graduation ceremony and, when The Huffington Post launched a couple of years later, she developed an online platform for voice with a critique of current politics. The fame of Arianna helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she ran as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis.
